HOW TO GET HERE & FACILITIES

Getting Here

Bourn Golf and Leisure is located between the villages of Toft and Bourn on the B1046.

The nearest train station is Royston 10.8 miles away.

The nearest bus stop is at the entrance sign. Bus route 18, timetable and details can be found at

Parking

We have a reserved bay at the front of the building and should additional bays be required our golf professional bay would be made available.

Lighting

We have good lighting around the whole of the building.

Arrival

There are 2 access points to the building. 

  1. The front entrance has two steps with the biggest height being 180mm high by 700mm deep. The doors open both ways to allow either a push or pull motion to gain access.  The total opening space is 1.7m
  2. To the right of the entrance we have a fixed ramp / slope that brings you up to a height of 130mm.  There is then an additional fixed ramp / slope that brings you up to a height of 180mm.  Both ramps are terracotta in colour to differentiate them and have a raised dimple texture.  At the top of the slope are double doors with a total width of 1.7m opening.  These open with both a push and pull motion.

To access the patio please revert to access point 2 which will bring you out of the building and around to the patio area.  

Restricted Dinning access - Our first floor dinning has restricted access with step heights of 180mm heigh x 240mm deep x 900mm wide, there are 6 steps to a platform.  The stairs then turn by 180 degrees  and there are a further 8 steps.  There are then an additional 3 steps into the conference room.

The internal floor surface on the ground floor is a mix of carpet tiles, wood effect vinyl and tiles.  The stairs to the first floor and in the 1st floor room is fitted with short pile carpet.

We have large print menus available.  We can swap chairs or remove them completely if required and our team will happily provide table service.  Background music is played throughout which can easily be adjusted depending on your needs.  We may show tv and sporting events in the bar and we will be happy to turn off the sound and put subtitles on if required.  We do not have a hearing loop system.

Customer Restroom

The customer toilets are on the ground floor.  The disabled toilet Inside has plenty of space for a wheelchair. Hand rails and a drop-down support bar are around the toilet. The toilet height is 50 cm from the ground. A fold down baby changing table is mounted to the wall.  The other toilets are separate male and female. Both have 2 cubicles and the male toilets has 2 urinals.

Additional Information

We welcome all dogs at the club, including assistance dogs. If you have an assistance dog and require any help, then please let a member of staff know.

There are power sockets should you need charge mobility scooters or battery powered wheelchairs.

There is free Wi-Fi throughout club house.

There is a GP Practice in Bourn The closest chemist is Boots in Farnham 0.1 away and the nearest accident and emergency hospital is 12.2 miles away. Addenbrookes, Cambridge, CB2 0QQ.
