Superbly organised and it all went very well. The conservatory is an ideal size for our event (35 people) but would also do 60 we think. Food was especially commented on favourably by our guests for both quality and quantity. When we have another event to organise we will be back.

HI Daniel, many thanks for hostiing Mums 90th party on the 11th June, the food was delicious – including the changes for vegetarians, everyone thought the venue was fab, nice to walk out to the lake for a leg stretch, and the staff did a grand job keeping the tea and coffee flowing.
We recently held a family gathering in the conservatory at Bourn Golf Club .Daniel and all of his team were excellent both at the planning stage and on the day. The food and service were both superb and nothing was too much trouble. I am sure we will be back for future functions.
Tony & I had our Ruby Anniversary lunch in the conservatory, with 63 guests ( incl. 5 little grandchildren).
The staff were amazing & many of our friends commented on the superb food& beautiful setting. So well run.
I’d like to thank the restaurant staff and chef for a lovely lunch on Sunday to celebrate my fathers 85th birthday. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent and a really good time was had by all. Thank you so much.
We cannot thank the staff enough for the amazing treatment we had at our Son and now Daughter-in laws wedding reception on the 8th April 2017.
The food was out of this world and the organisation was second to non, nothing was too much trouble down to dietry requirements of guests , to the children having everything they wanted.

60 junior players took to the course here at Bourn
Thomas Milton and Luca Randall used all their local knowledge in the fifth round of the Super Six Series on British Junior Golf Tour as they grabbed the first prizes in their respective categories here at Bourn GC on Sunday.
Tom, who celebrated his 13th birthday just a few days earlier, finished one clear of Marco Cuartero (Phoenix) after he carded a Challenge Division winning gross score of 87 to book his place in the Grand Final at Redbourn GC next month.
Luca’s place in the showpiece event on May 21st was already assured after Year 7-8 Age Group wins in the opening two events at The Bedford and Cambridge Meridian. But the eight-year-old’s determination to finish top of the Order of Merit was evident as he compiled a brilliant score of 38 over the front nine to finish seven ahead of Woodhall Spa’s Henry Price.
Our past captain, Dave Fryer was on hand all day as the official starter for the day, and as you can see, to hand out the prizes.
I cannot thank you enough for an amazing party. From the initial enquiry to the post party chat with Daniel the staff were amazing. The venue was perfect for a large birthday party. Nothing was too much trouble, at any time and I would thoroughly recommend this for all conference/party/wedding needs. We will be booking again for future events. Absolutely amazing! Luca Randall and Jake Plumb maintained their excellent early season form as they clinched first prizes in the British Junior Golf Tour event at Cambridge Meridian GC.
Eight-year-old Luca bagged two birdies in the last three holes to win his gross 9 hole age category for the second successive event by three from Arthur Saunders (Littlestone Warren).
Jake, who carded the joint-best Challenge Division 18-hole net score in the previous competition at The Bedford GC, held the top spot on his own this time as shot a magnificent round of net 61. The 25-handicapper finished four strokes ahead of Leah Ribano (Northampton).

On behalf of the G&WCT Cambs’ committee I wanted to thank you and your team for such a great evening last night.
Whilst the standard of food, service and smiles were as consistent as any other year I received compliments from so many people last night. Notably from those who chose the fish!
Providing for so many requires skill in and out of the kitchen, and my table noted how successfully your team managed the ‘crowd’.
The Quiz Night is a modest (but valuable) fund-raiser for us, however the focus remains the fun social aspect. Despite pretty tough quiz questions the smiles and laughter confirmed how successful the recipe.

A full field of 78 junior players braved tough, windy conditions at The Bedford Golf Club for the opening event of the Super Six with the British Junior Golf Tour.
Jake Plumb, Thomas Milton our junior vice captain, and Luca Randall were amongst the field.
Jake picked up the best net trophy in the Challenge division with a net 68, winning on count-back, whilst Luca shook off some early trouble in the 9 hole category to record a gross 39, taking the 7-8 division by 6 shots.
Well done Jake, Tom and Luca.
The British Junior Golf Tour will be here at Bourn with around 80 players on 23rd April, so if you would like to come and see some great golf, please come along.

The London & South East Milling Society held an evening with talk, celebrating the birth of Charles Dickens. Alex the chef devised an innovative and mouth-watering British menu for the occasion. All the staff from Dan, Zara and Tracy were very helpful in the organisation, but the food was the star of the show. Alex did us proud and so may left saying wow, what food!

I enclose a cheque for the very successful and enjoyable Christmas Lunch we had on December 1st. It was really enjoyed by all our Agricola group. Many of them commented that it was a fantastic meal. We have been coming now for 4 years as a group of up 70 people,and every year the meal has been excellent, the service has been excellent and the venue excellent. We cannot recommend it enough.

Our wedding reception was held at the Bourn Golf on Sat 22 Oct 16. I can’t thank Dan, Zara and Alex for the effort they put into making it such a fantastic day for us.
The way in which all the pre organisation was pulled together by Dan was easy and relaxed and he even went as far as ordering specialist beers in to keep my CAMRA aficionados friends happy.
The food put together by Alex was fantastic and all off the dishes served were off a standard which easily matches the best restaurants (mains were the lamb and Guinea Fowl).
The front of house on the day run by Zara was brilliant, the staff were happy, efficient and helpfully and really went out of their way to ensure that everybody had a great time. The finishing touch was put on by Rob Simpson of Rob Simpson photography who managed to get some brilliant and outstanding images.
All in all a fantastic day that Edna and I will treasure which was significantly enhanced by the venue staff and food.
We’re always welcomed, everything we need for our meetings is provided, and the sandwiches this week were excellent – substantial and delicious!

Congratulations to Ben Kerr, our head teaching PGA professional for winning the Beds & Cambs Winter Pro Am yesterday at John O’Gaunt with a great score of 66.
Bourn GC Senior Section, represented by Chris Randall, Roy Wilson and Jed Isbell, today became the winners of the 2016 CAGU Seniors Club Championship.
The competition was held at Newmarket GC, on what started off as a very damp and windy morning. Format for the day was an 18 hole team competition of three players using Stableford scoring with the best two scores counting. In the event of a tie then the third score would be used to determine the winners.
Scoring on the day was very good with the top score being 38, which our Bourn man Chris Randall managed to achieve, with Roy Wilson securing 37 points and our Seniors Captain Jed Isbell coming in with 36 points. This gave the team total of 75 points which proved enough for them to run out winners. Each team members was presented with a gold medal to commemorate thier personal involvement, with a Claret Jug being presented to cement Bourn GC winning the competition. Runners-up were Ely GC who managed to secure a score of 73 points.
It seems that Bourn fair well in this competition, where they have now won the event 3 times out of the 5 occasions that it has been held.
A big thankyou to Dan, Zara and Alex for helping to make our Christening such a wonderful day to remember.

Thank you Ian and all of your catering and green keeping staff for providing me with an excellent venue for my Senior Captain’s Away Day. We had 56 people participating which would have tested the resources and patience of many clubs. What we encountered at Bourn was a fabulous venue with hospitable and courteous staff as well as a course presented in top condition. During the day we met plenty of your members who all reflected the hospitable and friendly nature of Bourn Golf Club. The food was excellent and the atmosphere and facilities were perfect for our end of round meal and prize presentation. All in all a great venue!!
We had our wedding here in September 2016 and the day was perfect, the venue had been set up beautifully and we was allowed to bring in our own bits to finish the final touches, which we was very grateful of as this made it very personal to us.
Daniel was a great help throughout the build up and on the day of the wedding, like all of the staff at the Golf club, nothing was any trouble to them.
The chef Alex was lovely, nothing was any trouble to him, especially as I had a few guests with a lot of different dietary requests and they were very happy with the variety of dishes Alex suggested.
Overall the food was excellent, venue excellent and the staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful.
Our day could not of been better. Thank you very much to everyone!
Ps the drive in the golf buggy’s for photos is something not to be missed, the grounds are so beautiful and you have lots of fun!

Luca Randall, who has been working with Ben Kerr, our Head PGA Teaching Professional, using the TrackMan system for the past few months, has returned from the international US Kids Golf Venice Open with a runner-up trophy, after coming second in his age category. Well done, Luca, we are proud of you!

The Cambridgeshire Area Golf Union played their boys championships at Bourn golf course yesterday (29th July). Everyone commented on the great condition of the course, the hospitality, and the catering staff. 2 of our junior members played in the event, Tom Milton, and the youngest player on the day at just 7, Luca Randall. Luca came 3rd in the under 12 category with a great gross score of 94, but picked up the nett winner prize. Well done Luca and Tom.
The 2016 Boys championships was won by Oliver Rust with a great 36 hole score. Oli made a lovely speech and collected a fine trophy to add to his collection.
We have had our annual Foster golf day at Bourn Golf Club for 10 years now. Its a wonderful course only exceeded by the superb hospitality offered by the staff. The food is great and they create a relaxed atmosphere which our customers love. I thoroughly recommend the club to anyone thinking of having their corporate golf club in Cambridgeshire

The food was excellent and on time and the clubhouse an excellent area for our post golf presentation. The golf course was in superb condition and the greens running fast and true. All in all an excellent day thoroughly enjoyed by all of our members, so much so we will be returning next year.

He coordinated it perfectly, he set up a perfect evening with excellent food and brilliant staff happy patient staff.

Nearly 50 players took part in our annual Junior captain’s fun adult/junior golf day here at Bourn Golf Course on Sunday 23rd July. The day is aimed at getting our juniors to play alongside their parents, golfers and non golfers, and to HAVE FUN.

Dear Ian, Thank you for the very generous support of Bourn Golf Club in hosting the NSPCC Charity Golf Day on the 19th May. The event raised £880 for the charity’s and will be used to support the NSPCC ChildLine Schools Service SPEAK OUT! STAY SAFE! campaign, visiting all our primary schools in this region. The extensive publicity for the event in surrounding villages, sports and golf clubs, on local radio and press, and on social media acknowledged the event sponsors prior to the event, and similarly so with post event coverage in Facebook.
On a more personal note, we would like to thank you for working so hard to help make the event the success it was both before and on the day, it is appreciated. Thank you for kindly donating the Golf-Pro Session and for organising the Golf Pro-Shop vouchers in lieu of green fees.

It’s not April the 1st! On arriving in the morning of the 18th May cows were discovered walking on the course after having escaped from a local farm. They had damaged the 7th green and work was carried out to repair the damage. This is now completed.
The course is open today.
